Foster Care

Safe & Loving Home

Becoming a Foster Parent

Residing Hope (formerly Florida United Methodist Children’s Home) is a faith-based, non-profit organization that has been providing foster care services since 2002.

Children in foster care often come from traumatic circumstances of abuse, neglect, or abandonment, and are placed for short-term or long-term periods based on their individual needs. When possible, the children are reunited with their parents. If reunification is not possible, foster children go on to be placed in permanent adoptive homes.

100’s

Hundreds of children in Florida are currently waiting in shelters for a family to provide them with a safe and loving home. And while the job of a foster parent is not easy, it can be one of the most rewarding experiences.
